I started rewatching Malcolm in the Middle recently and I really need to get this off my chest about Reese.
He has had a shitty life. Seriously how has this kid not tried to kill himself? Everyone is always putting him down despite the fact that he was proven OVER AND OVER again that he isn’t stupid or dumb. The guy is a cooking genius and when he buckles down to do his schoolwork he actually does it and can get an A. It’s really discouraging to see that the only reason Reese does such a bad job at life in general is because of how people treat him. He gets treated like dirt so he acts like dirt. He makes stupid decisions because it’s what’s expected of him. He hardly has any confidence in himself probably because everyone is always reminding him of the fact that he doesn’t have any real friends and it doesn’t help that it’s implied that he might have schizophrenia as well as the possibility of ADD/ADHD and nEVER GETS ANY HELP FOR IT.
Malcolm in the Middle supposed to be a sitcom but when you really look at it its dark as fuck.
